  1. Hello @peteyt, hmm not detected for me. I'm going to report it, may I ask what is your 1. ESET version 2. Advanced Machine Learning module ? Peter
  2. Hello @peteyt, can you please provide us with the file and the log entry of the detection? Peter
  3. Hello @JOKEEFE, thank you for choosing ESET as your security provider. As we speak of a server system I would recommend the ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server. Once you deploy it, you will see if any exclusions are necessary. This product offers Process exclusions so you may exclude the process(es) handling the backups so all actions performed by it /them will be excluded... Peter
  4. Hello @MattB, create a report with "Client tasks . Task name" and "Client tasks . Task is valid" data selected, as shown on the attached screenshot, it should help you to reveal which one might be invalid... Peter
  5. Hello @leoo1231, It may, make sure that the product is able to access edf.eset.com, for details see https://support.eset.com/en/kb332-ports-and-addresses-required-to-use-your-eset-product-with-a-third-party-firewall Peter
  6. Hello @intika, Thank you for your kind words. The business version is already available in version 7, you can download it at https://www.eset.com/int/business/endpoint-antivirus-linux/download/ according to what you say, I guess you are a business user (license over 5 seats) It is fully manageable by means of ESET Security Management Center, including the activation (user-name and password is not used for it anymore). The on-access scanning is being handled by our own in-kernel module and the whole core product is based on a new, modern and maintained code so the whole UX should be much better for you. Please reproduce the issue and provide us with 1. screenshots of the situation 2. output from the Log collector script https://support.eset.com/en/kb6159-run-the-info-getcommand-on-a-linux-virtual-machine-and-send-the-logs-to-eset-technical-support 3. output from cat /etc/redhat-release You can pack them together, upload to a safe location and send me the download details over a private message. Peter
  7. Hello Mike, Yes we plan to add it in the future versions of the ECA, see https://forum.eset.com/topic/24224-syslog-log-output/ Peter
  8. Hello @Mike_Kintaru, glad to hear that. Thank you for keeping us posted, Peter
  9. Hello @Mike_Kintaru, done, the license has been removed from EBA account "li**.****nh@gmail.com". You may add it now to the one preferred. Peter
  10. Hello @Ricky Martin I would bet, you have the "Create update mirror" option enabled, causing the update to be so large. Disable that option and the download will be significantly smaller. Note that the initial download will still be quite large, but the incremental ones will be very small, as Marcos already mentioned. Peter
  11. Hello @Mike_Kintaru, I checked it with a colleague and it seems you have the license already added in a different EBA account, registered with "li**.****nh@gmail.com", it has the same company name as the one registered on "li*******@nqh-***hitects.vn" (the one mentioned by you. In it, there is indeed no license). So use it with the EBA account registered on "li**.****nh@gmail.com", in case that is not possible let us know so we will remove the license from the first EBA account, so you can add it to the one desired... Peter
  12. Hello @Mike_Kintaru, I can see the license 3AD-KBH-MH4 added in your EBA account (the one registered for the mentioned e-mail li*******@nqh-***hitects.vn)... Please recheck and if the issue persists, describe it in details so we can assist you... Peter
  13. Hello @Phil_S, thank you for the log file, but sadly the dump file is empty 😞 so we cannot analyze it... Please monitor the situation and in case you encounter the issue again, provide us with logs as described above so we can check what is going on there... Peter
  14. Hello @karsayor, we do not have an ETA for the systematical fix, yet. However you can send me your EDTD public license ID and your EBA / EMA e-mail address via private message and I can ask the devs to fix it manually... Peter note: I_EDF-1275
  15. Hello @Phil_S, we would need a dump of the process memory to check what is going on there. If you see again such high resource consumption , please navigate to Advances settings -> Tools -> Diagnostics and set the dump type to Full. Hit the Create button next to Create diagnostic dump option. Once complete, create a log with ESET Log Collector, upload the generated archive to a safe location and send me a private message with the download details to check. Peter
  16. Hello Peter, I would first check https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/72/en-US/sg_server_tasks_ad.html Important ESMC Server 7.2 on Windows uses the encrypted LDAPS (LDAP over SSL) protocol by default for all Active Directory (AD) connections. If you upgrade an earlier ESMC version to ESMC 7.2 and you were using the Active Directory synchronization, synchronization tasks will fails in ESMC 7.2. For a successful AD connection over LDAPS, configure the following: 1.The domain controller must have installed a machine certificate. To issue a certificate for your domain controller, follow the steps below: a)Open the Server Manager, click Manage > Add Roles and Features and install the Active Directory Certificate Services > Certification Authority. A new Certification Authority will be created in Trusted Root Certification Authorities. b)Navigate to Start > certmgr > Certificates - Local Computer > Personal > right click the empty pane > All Tasks > Request New Certificate > Enroll Domain Controller role. c)Verify that the issued certificate contains the FQDN of the domain controller. 2.When providing connection settings to the AD server, type the FQDN of the domain controller (as provided in the domain controller certificate) in the Server or Host field. IP address is no longer sufficient for LDAPS. Peter
  17. Hello @itman, thank you for pointing on this. The update is now being pushed to the pre-release channel as well. Peter
  18. Hello @RichardC, As you have a server operating system, the ESET File Security for Microsoft Windows Server is the correct product for you to be installed. The latest version supports your OS, see https://help.eset.com/efsw/7.1/en-US/system_requirements.html for details Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with KB4474419 or KB4490628 installed Peter
  19. Hello @Av1, my colleague was able to reproduce the issue you described so he filed a bug report (P_ME-3376) for our devs to fix. Thank you for reporting this to us. We apologize for the inconvenience caused, Peter
  20. Hello @Av1, I would first try to activate the license directly via the ESET Security product, it might help. If not please send me a private message with a reference to this forum topic with details about the license so we can try to reproduce the issue here. Peter
  21. Hello @William Zujkowski, as of now, we do not have them available for public testing yet. The development team is working on it with a priority, I may let you know once we have them available for testing but no 100% promises as my memory does not serve me very well 🙂 Peter
  22. Hello @greatis, please see the forum rules at https://forum.eset.com/howtopost/ "This forum does not serve as a channel for requesting website re-check or disputing blocks or detections." The response from the research lab is not guaranteed, the researchers usually reply if they need further data regarding the sample(s) reported, which was not this case. The application was carefully analyzed and turned out to meet criteria of potentially unwanted applications which is an optional detection so the user need to enable it, if he want to have such apps detected. Peter
  23. Hello @AlexTMI, The issue is resolved by a module update so there is no need for new installation package for any version. When it comes to version 5 it is quite old and is not able to provide the level of protection as the modern versions, please see our EoL policy at https://support.eset.com/en/kb3592-is-my-eset-product-supported-eset-end-of-life-policy-business-products I would recommend to schedule an upgrade to a modern and fully supported version according to it. Peter
  24. Hello @MRutkowski, good, thank you for keeping us posted. Hopefully 7.3 will behave as expected. P.S. we plan to release an hotfix for 7.3 during the next week, I would probably wait with a larger deployment for it, but of testing on a limited set of computers is O.K. Peter
  25. Hello @offbyone, Yes we use the permanent connections, see https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/71/en-US/installation_deployment_scenarios.html "ESMC Server is connected to the ESET Management Agents using permanent connections. Despite the permanent connection, data transmission occurs only once during the connection interval." Do not have personal experience / data, but I would for sure keep it that way, as establishing the secure connection is quite resource intensive... Peter
