I got a response from the tech support. It ended up the issue was because there were some files in the temporary repository that somehow got the wrong permission. After fixing that, (chmod -R 775 <temp repo dir>), it now works.
So in conclusion, aside for @Marcos's idea of the mirror permissions, I also need to ensure the temp repo folder's permissions are correct.

I deleted the whole of eset/apps/business, and after running it and I'm still getting the following error:

I'm not entirely sure what's going on. I've setenforce 0, and it is downloading stuff, but just all the eula items. None of the binaries.

The folder that I store the repo in is /opt/repo and it is owned by the user mirror.

I don't know if there's been changes, but I'm running the mirror tool to update the repos (really the mirror tool repo actually deletes the whole repo and starts over again, but I suspect I'm missing something to prevent it from doing that).

Try using the ESET Uninstaller [https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool. You need to be in safe mode to run this uninstaller.
Once you've uninstalled it, you can run the v10.1 agent. Though I would hazard a guess you'd need to install the v9.1 I installed the v9.1 just yesterday on a Win7 system.

Manual installation does 'work'; but would the ERA agent pick it up and start managing it? (If not, this would be a neat feature). I think I've done this before (i.e. install manually) but I don't recall the ERA ever picking up the installation and start managing it. [Memory is very fuzzy on this]

I've not been able to upgrade my Win7 systems to the latest version also. Heck, even my 8.1 system isn't updating. It's still stuck at 9.x .
Edit:
The thing is, ESET Protect will see these systems but will have them highlighted as yellow. I've attempted to upgrade one Win7 to ESS 10.x; but the task would fail.

Yeah, the creation of new certificates is always the problem I get. You need to import the old certificates back into the system. This is always the part that hits me.

The clients' logs might have some clue as to what is going on. What does it say in c:\Programdata\eset\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\ERAAgentApplicationData\Logs\trace.log and the status.html?

I thought the "name" was supposed to be something like "com.eset.apps.business.eea". I didn't know I could use just the Product name.
Also, are you certain it is the first one? Here's something you can do. You can clear out all the products except the first one, run the mirror tool. If it doesn't choke, continue adding until it does. This is how I found out my problem with the filter file.

Either there's a firewall between your clients blocking port 80, or a bad proxy?

Fwiw, I think I've found out what's causing this.
I'm on a Windows 8.1 pro system. Agent is 10.1.0277.
- Created a "Software Install" task that specifies 9.1.2063.0 as the installation package.
- The installation runs and activates.
- It promptly then starts to update.
- It then displays a "Protection setup slow"
- After a bit, it shows "Updating product"; but with an error stating "Network Firewall could not be started" (paraphrase..) Needed to restart.
- Restarted the system. ESET AV icon in the taskbar is missing/not accessible.
- I was about to open a page to download the latest v9, when the whole desktop went blank and gave me a dialog that "Explorer.exe has crashed" (paraphrase) and asks if I should close it or debug it(iirc). Then the whole desktop went blue(not a blue screen)
- I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Del, selected Task Manager, and ran a new Explorer.exe.
- After a bit, the desktop appeared again, and the AV appeared back in the taskbar and proceeded to update.
Right now, it's scanning my computer.
I'm still going to download the latest and install over 9.1.2063.0.
Does anyone know if I create a new Software Install and have it point to the actual repository.eset.com's 9.1.2066.0's eea_nt64.msi file?

@Marcos I think I've "fixed" the problem.
Previously, I just went to safe-mode and used esetuninstaller to uninstall just the AV. When I went back to normal Windows, and ran the install-av task, it did the same thing.
So I went back into Safemode and just uninstalled both the AV and Agent. After getting the GPO Agent package installed, and ran the install AV task, It looks like it's working. Mind you, for the v9 family, 9.1.2066.0 is the latest; but that's not available in the repository(local one, and I've sent a message to tech support but haven't heard from anyone), so I installed 9.1.2063.0.
But you could be right that an update might have choked the 9.1.2063.0 version... dunno. Currently, it's updating the product.

Hi,
It seems as if this week is stumping me a lot with the ESET Protect Setup. This morning while figuring out my ESET Protect login problem, I noticed that the AV on my system was updating and then since the system was getting sluggish, I decided to reboot my system.
After rebooting, I noticed that the AV taskbar icon was missing. I went into the Control Panel-> Programs and Features and discovered that the AV (9.1 version as I'm still on Windows 8.1) no longer exists in the list of installed programs.
The "C:\Programdata\ESET\ESET Security" path still exists as does "c:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Security". egui.exe still exists and when I run it, it would appear in the task for a brief moment and then prompt disappear(likely a crash).
At this point, I have no idea what happened. Nothin in the c:\Programdata\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\EraAgentAplicationData\Logs\trace.log.
I'm not sure where to look for when the AV was 'uninstalled'. The AV isn't mentioned in the Programs list; but the directories still exist. I think I'm left with going to esetuninstaller and run it on the AV software then have the system pick up the "Software install" task.

Found out it was SELinux. setenforce 0 fixed it.

As I'm having some trouble with ESET PROTECT's webconsole, I downloaded a fresh era.war and copied it to the tomcat webapps directory, and removed the existing era directory. Restarted tomcat; but now it's complaining it can't create the /opt/tomcat/webapps/era directory.

I just ran the mirror repo again and I still have only 10.0.2045.0, 10.1.2046.0 and 10.1.2050.0. Looking at the download page, 10.1.2058.0 is the latest version. Can someone point out what I might be missing?

I'm trying to deploy the Eset Endpoint AV to a Windows 7 32bit system(I had to remove the agent and the current EEA due to the agent not contacting the Protect server). I know for a fact v11 no longer work for Win7, and the last version I see from [1] is v9. So I create a task that installs v9.1.2071.0 (from a local repo) and run it.
However it fails. (Unfortunately, there's little to no info in PROTECT's Task Execution Fail reason). So I went into the client and took a look at the task.log.

Before I do this manually, I'd like to point out what I might be doing wrong.
