Hello,
I bought ESET Smart Security today but it is not possible to activate the program as it can not be completed.
I used "McAfee LiveSafe" before, so I uninstalled the program + used the McAfee Removal Tool to make sure that there are no pieces of the program left.
I rebooted my computer and installed ESET, typed in my activation code, entered my personal data.
And that is the point where I am unable to continue. I see the window saying "Activation. This can take several minutes" (might not be the actual sentence as I use the program in German). I waited 30 minutes until I stopped the process and restarted it.
To make sure that the problem is not caused by my Internet connection, I used my mobile phone as a WiFi hotspot, but it is still not possible to complete the activation.
Operation system: Windows 10 64-bit (I installed the 64 bit version of ESET as well)
Windows Defender is not activated.
