  1. Hi everyone, Have you completed the steps from this article?
  2. Hi Kevint8, Are you sure that you're not just opening the message and creating a new draft before you send your response? This happens automatically in the latest version of Outlook, any time that you open a message to reply to it, a draft is created.
  3. If anyone else is experiencing this issue I suggest following the procedure from Part II of our Knowledgebase article.
  4. Hi Charlie, Have you tried the steps from this article?
  5. I see, so he cannot select an option to detect PUAs during installation. Does the customer know to tap Select one to view the Enable detection and Don't enable detection options? If the menu does not display at all, it might be necessary to re-download the installer file.
  6. Hi Buchtic, Your message is a little hard to understand, but I believe you're looking for a way to enable/disable detection of PUAs in ESET Mobile Security. Assuming this customer is using the latest version of EMS, the PUA setting is accessed by tapping Antivirus > Advanced settings. From here, you can switch Detection of Potentially Unsafe Applications on or off. Let me know if this helps --CB
  7. That's correct Megachip, however what David is proposing to do here is not a push installation.
  8. Hi everyone, Have you tried the steps from this article. It is new in the Knowledgebase and should help you resolve this issue. --CB
  9. Hi Mostafa, Arakasi is correct, what you're seeing is Gamer mode switching on due to the fact that you're running a full-screen application. To learn more about what exactly Gamer Mode does, read this article. Basically, it is a feature designed to keep ESET from intruding if you're using an application that needs your full attention. You can change your settings such that Gamer mode will not engage automatically. For instructions to do so, take a look at this article.
  10. Correction, won't be necessary to *uninstall version 2. Again, now that you've uninstalled version 1 of ESET mobile security you should be all done.
  11. It won't be necessary to install version 2, the upgrade is designed so that you install the new product first and then uninstall the old one. To make sure that it is version 2 of the program that you have installed, you can follow the instructions from Part II of this KB article. The link i have included here will take you directly to Part II so you won't need to scroll down. Steps 1 and 2 describe how to tell which version of the software you are using.
  12. Sorry, I'm not able to upload the image, but if you'll take a look it is included in step 1 of the article that i linked to. The point is that the main menu for version 1 looks different from that of version 2, so by comparing what you see the the image in step 1 you should know if you're in the proper program.
  13. Yes, what's occurred is that you've already downloaded the new software, and you need to uninstall your existing ESET Mobile Security version 1 installation. Please follow steps 1-6 of this article you can use the screenshots from the article to determine if you are in version 1 or version 2. The first step is to open ESET Mobile Security version 1 and tap Uninstall Wizard, as shown in the example below:
  14. Ok Corey, You might take a look at our upgrade article. It contains illustrated instructions about how to make the switch from EMS version 1 to version 2. It was unclear to me before that this was what you were doing, otherwise i'd have sent this in my last message.
  15. Hi Corey, I suspect that what's going on here is that you aren't removing the administrative privileges granted to ESET Mobile Security during installation. Without removing these, it's not possible to remove the product from your Android device. Are you attempting to uninstall by tapping the "uninstall wizard" in the main menu of the product? This is the only way to remove ESET Mobile Security for Android successfully, it cannot be removed in the same manner as a typical app.
  16. Hi Matrak, The ESET Remote Administrator Maintenance tool is designed to do exactly this. For instructions on how to use it, visit our Knowledgebase article.
  17. Hi Kirkland, You are sure that you are using NOD32 Antivirus right? Not ESET Smart Security? Gamer mode is designed to engage automatically when full-screen applications are running. To make sure that this setting is still enabled, press F5 while you have ESET open to bring up Advanced setup, expand User Interface > Gamer Mode and ensure that the check box next to Enable Gamer mode when running applications in full-screen mode automatically is selected. I believe what your noticing is ESET switching out of gamer mode when you use Alt+Tab or Ctrl+Esc to bring up your Desktop. While ESET does switch out of Gamer mode when you do this, it should automatically re-engage Gamer Mode once you go back to the fullscreen app. If you are in fact using ESET Smart Security, it might be a firewall issue, let me know if that's the case and I can suggest some additional steps for you, as it stands it looks like Gamer Mode is functioning normally. Even though you can't observe it, it does switch back on when you bring the full-screen app up.
  18. David, Since you are not going to be performing the install remotely and are content to "walk to users machines and install" as you put it, I think there might be a simpler way to achieve your goal here. First, download the ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Mac BE installer file, the link I've added here should get you to the download page. If you have a valid license, you should have no problem getting the file. Once you have the installer file, export a configuration file from the client workstation that you've already got configured to connect to your server using the instructions from this article. Place the configuration file and the installer file on a flash drive, install NOD32 on your client computers and then follow the steps in the second half of the article I linked to above to import the configuration settings that you copied from your already configured client workstation.
  19. Hi Mintuz, I just want to check to see if you're attempting to remote install to Mac using ESET Remote Administrator. You'll need to use Apple Remote Desktop to push to Mac clients, for instructions, check out our Knowledgebase article. I realize it may be the case that you're already following this procedure, if so let us know and we can look into further examining your error.
  20. Hi MrGrinch, How long ago did you add the new license file and did you add it to License Manager in ERA? There may be a short delay between the addition of the new license and client workstations recognizing it.
  21. Hi Hardisiibobotohpersibthea, I would suggest you try the same procedure that I mentioned to Dana to start, it involves modifying the server configuration xml. You can find the steps here.
  22. Hi all, I'm glad to see that we've been able to help MattHardwood out with Removable Media protection in ESS6. In ESET Endpoint Security this feature is called "Device Control" and the corresponding Knowledgebase article can be found here.
  23. Hi Curistel, For instructions on how to upgrade ERA to the latest version, see our Knowledgebase article. This issue is resolved in the latest version of ERA.
  24. I'm glad to hear that ERA is running better after your reinstall, sorry for the inconvenience. To answer your question, yes that service should be running full-time save for instances where it might be disabled for troubleshooting.
  25. Hi Dana, Have you tried the procedure from this Knowledgebase article?
