  1. Hello sophate, Please PM me the email you typed in when activating and/or the activation key. I will see if I can get this fixed for you.
  2. This issue has been resolved in a recent update. To ensure ESET is updating properly please follow the steps located here. If the issue still persists please let us know by replying to this post.
  3. Please refer to this thread: https://forum.eset.com/topic/3259-nod32-not-updating-signature-database/ Per Marcos:
  4. After further testing we found that we needed to use syslog_facility=none not syslog_class=none to disable all ESET logging to the system.log file. Please ensure the previous syslog_class option is commented out or removed from the esets.cfg file. You can do this by running the following command: sudo /Applications/ESET\ Cyber\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/esets_set --section global --set syslog_class After that please run the command below to add syslog_facility=none to the global section of the esets.cfg file: sudo /Applications/ESET\ Cyber\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/esets_set --section global --set syslog_facility=none Once completed restart your computer and check to ensure no more ESET log entries are showing up in the system.log file. Please submit replies to the following thread so we can consolidate https://forum.eset.com/topic/2324-how-to-disable-systemlog-logging/

  6. Are you able to make the BSOD happen again? If so please follow the steps in the link below to get us a complete memory dump created during the BSOD. hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN380&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1398355965957
  7. Hi Miiniiw, I would love to troubleshoot this issue with you! He was correct when he said it's never a good idea to run two real-time scanners together. Almost every time I have seen BSODs after an ESET install it has been due to a driver conflict. Can you PM me a SysInspector log?
  8. Please try to delete the class you want disabled and let me know if that works.
  9. Here are the instructions to transfer ESET to a new computer. You don't need to worry about the uninstall part since your old computer does not boot. You will also not need to worry about what bit you are using. Our live installer will auto detect and install the correct version.
  10. Please submit a Sysinspector log to ESET Customer Care for analysis. There may be conflicting drivers.
  11. Here are instructions and video on how to fix this issue using the ESETSirefefCleaner. You will need to rename C:\Program Files\Windows Defender before you can download the tool and also remember to rename it back to Windows Defender before you run the tool. The video will show you all of this.
  12. I think newer Lenovo computers have Intel Anti-Theft pre-installed. First manually uninstall ESET Smart Security then try the steps below: From the Start screen, press the Windows key + W to search for settings. Type Add or remove programs into the search bar and click Add or remove programs from you search results. Look for Intel AT or Intel Anti-Theft. Double click to start the uninstaller. After the uninstall finishes restart the computer and install ESET Smart Security.
  13. Do the videos play smooth with no Antivirus software installed?
  14. Please manually uninstall and reinstall ESET Cyber Security. If you are still experiencing the same problem after the manual uninstall and reinstall try to get pre-release updates by following the instructions below: 1. Open the main program window by clicking the ESET icon on the menu bar and selecting Open ESET Cyber Security/ESET Cyber Security Pro or by clicking Finder Applications ESET Cyber Security/ESET Cyber Security Pro. 2. Click Setup Enter application preferences. 3. Click Update 4. Click Clear next to Clear update cache. 5. Click on Setup : next to Advanced Options 6. Check the box for : Pre-Release Updates Then Click OK 7. Click Ok again to close the Update window. 8. Click on Update Then Click on Update Virus Signature Database.
  15. Sorry for the delayed response. We are currently looking into this issue. We will get back to you as soon as we get more information.
