  1. I updated Eset Snart Security version 9. After update restarted computer I get a security alert, Antivirus is non-functional. I updated signature base and restarted same error. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
  2. I have had no device missing , I am the only one who uses theis PC, I only log onto one accounty all the time. I received emails from Eset and I will follow their instructions to solve problem if there is one. I went to anti-theft.eset.com, the phantom account name that was created and used is not a windows account. It is an account log in name I use to log onto a particular site I visit. Why would it show this as someone logged on to a phantom account? Thanks
  3. I received an email from noreply@eset.com, I will paste it below, I want to know if this is real? ESET Anti-Theft has recorded suspicious activity on your device ------PC. Someone has logged on the device using the Phantom Account. If you don't know the location of the device, sign in to your my.eset.com account at https://anti-theft.eset.com and confirm it as Missing. ESET Anti-Theft will start monitoring the activity on the device to help you find out its position. I have never received an email like this in 5 years of using eset. Also I updated signature base and scanned syatem, also scanned with malware. Thanks in advance
  4. Yes I did know about knowledge base. I did make a new shortcut and reboot with no luck.. I did not update windows nor download or add any new software either. I downloaded and installed 8. Icon is back. I have been using Eset for approximately almost 6 years. I always was able to resolve any problems, which were few and far between. I also went and restored windows the day before this hapened and icon was still not on task bar. Eset was running in the back ground, updating and scanning, just no icon. I see no problems as of yet with 8, I am going bto uninstall and reinstall 7 just to see if that reolves the icon issue, I am curious! Will let you know when I do reinstall 7 and what happens for future reference. I run Eset on my desktop and two laptops all running windows 7, desktop was the only one with problem, all have identical software and Malware Premium. Thank You for the advise anyways.
  5. I am running windows 7. I will look at link, thanks.
  6. I rebooted computer and there is no icon for Eset in my task batr (right side). I checked in sartup and it is there and checked. The icon on desk top opens Eset and it is enabled and running scans. How can I get the icon back in task bar? Thanks
