  1. Full Offline Installer in French France https://download.eset.com/com/eset/apps/home/ess/windows/latest/ess_nt64_fra.exe
  2. Thanks for this, I had been wondering how to get rid of that annoying blue circle on v8, I just couldn't put up with the lack of coherent structure in the rules editing window in v9 BTW. now we have no access to any further updates of version 8 what was the last official version, I have 8.0.319.0 @ESET please but a button to the rules under the Tools menu so we dont have to trawl through the Advance setup
  3. thanks for the reply Marcos so I eventually found the Firewall Troubleshooting Wizard after Googling it under Setup > Network Protection > Troubleshooting Wizard (which looks greyed out and not a clickable button) and got it ready to record, I fired up FlashFXP and an update appeared which I installed and hey-presto I can now connect... tbh I wish I had tried it before the update to see if anything I had fiddled with had fixed it but its all good if it stays working. FIXED: Live update FlashFXP to version 5.3.0 (3925)
  4. Hi I've been told that I need to open some ports in my firewall and after a bit of searching around I eventually found where you guys have hidden the Firewall Rules... why a button to them is not on the main GUI I really don't know. I need to open these ports: 1935 443 80 and have made a rule to do just that (which doesn't work) and if I enable the firewall I get this error: Error Code: VE_FMS_CONNECT_FAILED with the firewall disabled the OnDemand TV streams play fine I tried to follow the Eset help file for ESS 8 (unable to find support for ESS 9) but I don't know how to check if ESS 9 is implementing the rule to keep those ports open and even if it is it's still blocking something required to make the stream handshake with the browser. this is the stream I wanted to watch: hxxp://dave.uktv.co.uk/shows/8-out-of-10-cats/ this is the their help page hxxp://admin.brightcove.com/connect_failed.html does Eset have a tool or web page that checks for open ports? many thanks for reading /james
  5. Hi I have a problem with ESS 9 blocking access to my FTP this is in the FlashFXP log file. Data Socket Error: error: 10013 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. [12:34:59] [R] List Error [12:34:59] [R] PASV [12:34:59] [R] 227 Entering Passive Mode (**,92,209,**,216,240) [12:34:59] [R] Opening data connection IP: **.92.209.** PORT: 55536 [12:34:59] [R] Data Socket Error: error: 10013 An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. I think ess is not opening the ports correctly, if I disable the firewall it connects perfectly, (just transferred a 1.6gb file with no crc errors) the port used for the FTP is 21 which is default standard. where do I look for the problem in ess? thanks for looking /james
