  1. Looks like brute force works. Every ten minutes I setup a job to install and throughout the whole day gradually machines are updating.
  2. It seems after attempting several times, one machine went through with the update. I tried switching to the 7.0.2073.1 repository and it too has problems. Can anyone from ESET confirm if there is a server issue? Thanks.
  3. Hi, it seems 50% of our organization has successfully updated to 6.6.2086.1 however the rest fail (and worse the AV has managed to uninstall itself on some workstations). This is the error message, is a problem with the servers? We do not use a proxy or such. Thanks! CSystemConnectorModule 2018-Aug-16 23:40:29 Software installation failed: GetFile: Error reading HTTP response data (0x4e33)
  4. Ok, yes that is indeed correct I meant Endpoint. Thanks for letting me know because I was second guessing if it was an issue on my end or not.
  5. So with Eset Smart Security 6.6 the splash screen turns up regardless of the UI state (minimum or full) and whether or not "show splash screen at startup" is turned on or off. The previous build did not have this problem. Is there a reason why this should be on anyway? Why advertise the product when we already have it?
  6. Our ESET Remote administration keeps on sending out notices that our FIle Security product is out of date. We are currently running 6.4.12002.0 Naturally, we created a new server task to update this from the repository but it always fails with the message along the lines "the application is newer than the one attempting to install". The repository is listing 6.4.12004.0 but it seems that there is something going on, is there a way to manuall download this file? Edit: user error actually. There really needs to be a filter with choosing files from the repository as selecting from a list of nearly identical entries often leads to errors!
  7. Thanks for the updates, appreciate it. I was looking for a silent command because when upgrading from 6.3 to 6.4 on a test machine, a UI popped up asking for user interaction. I guess this is the INSTALLED_BY_ERA=1 you are talking about. I'll try this out, thanks.
  8. We have the same issue, our IT providers installed remote viewing software and ESET continually flags it as unwanted software.
  9. Okay, solved it - it was because for some reason the policy was using a proxy server. Turned it off and the activation went through
  10. Hi, Is there a way to find out why a product is not activating, like a log? All we get is this generic error message which is not detailed. We have two licences spare and certificate is present, so it's not an issue there. We have also moved over to a new server on a new IP which could have caused this. Although we know that the new Remote Administrator server is working well because we can push policy changes through it and install newer version of the agent through it to workstations.
  11. Can anyone please explain how this works? None of these commands seem to work, log always ends with Info 1639.Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help. "/QUIET" https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372024(v=vs.85).aspx
  12. Yes, the two clients (out of the other 14 with chrome) are still not reporting the correct version of software. Is there a difference in how ESET sees a system shutdown vs restart? Because the users usuall shutdown - but I will have to see if they have ever done a restart.
  13. Hi, We have these two installed on workstations ESET Remote Administrator Agent 6.3.136.0 ESET Endpoint Antivirus 6.3.2016.0 Using the "Installed Applications" report it seems as if there is something not updating. I came accross an issue where I had two workstations reporting that they were on an older version of Chrome; So I log on while at the physical desk to see why Google Update isn't working, once I check I see that Chrome was actually 49. I went back to the console and tried to generate new logs and it still reports the old version of Chrome. I even completed a SysInspector Request. Is there something I'm missing? Is it not fully supported, checking of 3rd party apps?
