I had been planning to install ESET after my license with Bitdefender expires in a few days, however after many attempts I have been unable to install. Initially I had the download tool from ESET Malaysia site but after 45 minutes only 11% had downloaded and it was frozen at that point. On USA website download tool was OK but copy would not install, I received message saying " no internet connection" . A Desktop icon appeared but when opened it informed " install failed". Nothing wrong with my internet connection I have 100 Mpbs and no problem in downloading other AV software. Any suggestions please ?

So presume that ESET IS online banking is safe if Edge is the default browser just same as any other browser.

Ah OK. I use Firefox latest version 56.0 32 bit. for browsing. My default browser is Microsoft Edge. Before ESET I was using Bitdefender Internet Security. I did banking on Safe Money which has no history.

I am running free version of Malwarebytes and I do use ESET BPP so presume I take it out ? Sorry for my inexperience/knowledge.

For online banking, is it OK to add Anti malware to ESET Internet Security or enough without any further additions.l Thanks

Tks done that. After checking your instructions pop up says rule exists, no need for further change so hopefully all ok. Not had any repeat notifications.

I am getting warning message saying connection 1xx. xxx.0.1 is blocked. This is my own router, how to stop blocking other than having to tick 'allow' each time. Thanks.

Thanks again. My limited I/T is improving !!! I managed to check out the update process and found I already have the tick in place. I have previously been using Kaspersky and got used to having to click on the update button to do update every time I booted up, it never seemed to do it automatically.

Cyberhash - thanks for that. Still seems to be all ok and I have checked the database with the link and my copy is latest, so presume just leave alone to update automatically as and when the system dictates ?

This morning after overnight PC shutdown, it seems to have updated on start up. I will see what happens as the day goes.

OK I am doing best I can with my limited knowledge but since you seems to be losing a bit of patience forget it and I uninstall it and take another option.

OK found more comprehensive menu in F5 . I clicked 'on demand computer scan' same error result -no log files to see. I notice that no update has been effective since installation approx 8 hours ago. Network connections are OK.
