  1. Is it possible to merge list of exceptions that i`ve configured in ERA server policy with local exceptions list on server or workstation? Because when I apply policy with addded exceptions it`s replace local exceptions list And second question, is it possible to allow manual edit for settings where policy is applied? FOr example, for exceptions? I want to add exceptions in policy, but also want to add exceptions manually from client, and want that these exceptions cam be merged but not replaced from policy

  5. Alternatively AD synchronization task may be able to "merge" computers with exactly the same name, but not sure you are using it. Works like a charm
  6. Hello, We have a customers on outside and need to deploy new Endpoint and activate it. They have limited Internet connection (can`t connect to ERA Server). I know that we can use .lc file for offline activation. But is it possible to limit number of activations? Or maybe you know another option for this? Regards
  7. It is strange, but this update is gone.. I`ve enabled SSL/TLS, restarted web-browser, checked for updates. Now computer is up to date. I`ve disabled SSL/TLS, restarted web-browser again and now WU don`t detect any new updates. I will check it when new updates will be available
  8. Yes it is detected as virus. SSL/TLS is turned off by default in my configuration
  9. Is agent connected to ERA, firewall ports are opened,can you ping workstation by name or ip? Can you access workstation from server, if for example type in windows explorer \\host_name\C$ ? Check trace log of agent on workstation: C:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Agent\Logs\ Did you configured your domain workstations like it described in installation manual?

  13. Hello, I have a problem with Windows Update on Windows 10 with ESET Endpoint antivirus. When WU detect new udpate for Windows Defender it can`t install it. But if I uninstall ESET, then all is ok. How I can resolve this problem?
  14. I`ve changed target group to the static group in which is placed my computer account for the rename task and it successfully changed the name. But now I have two computers with the same name in this Static group. Is it possible automatically delete duplicated computer? Why this task is not working for dynamic groups?
  15. This is most probably MSI (un)installer limitation. We can check password once we get administrator permissions from user that started uninstallation - and I guess permissions request (UAC) comes at the end of wizard. Mentioned computers renaming task uses the same data as you can see in client's details view - section "device identifiers" - type computer FQDN. Could you please check if this value is correct for affected client? Also could you please verify that computers renaming task was actually successful? I`ve tried again with no luck. I`ve copied original rename task and changed target group to Windows Computers Dynamic group. My laptop is placed to this group. On the screenshots you can see FQDN name. But when I run the task nothing is happened :\ Is it possible to check any logs on the server side fr this task?
  16. Ok. I`ve checked password protection for agent and it works.. I thinked that it shouldn`t allow to go to the next page of Uninstall Wizard, but it allow. But when it starts uninstall process then I recieved the error about password protection But hostname change still not working for me
  17. Did you test it by right-clicking the regular update task with a primary and secondary update profile configured and selecting "Run now" ? Clicking "Update now" will update only using the primary update profile settings. OMG. Thank you very much for this post. I lost two hours to resolve this problem... Right click on a task and it works!!! I think that will be better to link the secondary connection with Update now button. If a primary connection not working then automatically try to update with a secondary connection As I good understand, the program will by automatically download updates in internal and external netowrks, but if I want to download updates manually in external then I need to use Run now in the tasks list? Right?
  18. Thank you for asnwer. But after this configuration i have strange problem. I will describe. 1. I don`t use Proxy server in SETUP->TOOLS 2. I`ve confugred MyProfile to download updates from internal ERA Server (Apache HTTP Proxy) Connect through proxy and add IP and port When I connected to Internal network it works 3. I`ve configured non-proxy update profile to not use proxy When I connect to external network ESET can`t update. But if I remove Proxy settings in first Myprofile update profile then I can download updates from Internet when I connected to external network. But if I connect to internal network and trying to download updates, Endpoint cant download it... How I can resolve this problem?
  19. Hello, Is it possible to setup updates in ERA Policies that if client in internal network than download from Apache HTTP proxy but if clients is outside and has connection with Internet than download updates from ESET Servers? Thank you
  20. There is a server task called "Rename computers" for this purpose. Unfortunately this task is not working for me. I`ve already changed Targets for this task to dynamic group in which we have computer with changed hostname.. And nothing is happened.. I see in static group (AD OU) my computer, but it`s not showing me that agent is installed on this host.. And I haven`t anymore computer in the same static group (AD OU) with old name.. But I see it in dynamic group with old name, but in details it has new name...   21. Hi, I have the newest version of ERA Server 6.3.12 Unfortunately we have two issues with it: 1. Password protection for agent is not working. I can just click next and agent will be successfully uninstalled. I`ve already configured ESET Policy for agent as described in manual. 2. When we change hostname for workstation that has already installed agent, hostname not refreshes in ERA Console How we can resolve these two issues? Regards
