  1. Unfortunately this results in an install error: The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation
  2. I may have spoken to soon. Even though Process Explorer shows epfwlwf.sys loaded under System, Windows event logs show the following error: Service Control Manager EventID 7026 The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: EpfwLWF
  3. I think I've found the problem through using a process monitor bootlog. Ekrn.exe first looks for epfwlwf.sys in the directory C:\Windows\System32\Drivers If the driver is not found, Ekrn then (and finally) looks for the driver in "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Drivers\epfwlwf\EpfwLwf.sys". Obviously this path does not exist, hence installation fails. I created the path "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Drivers\epfwlwf\EpfwLwf.sys" then rebooted and installation of epfwlwf succeeded.
  4. Win 7x64 EIS 12.2.23.0 I'm having a problem with getting the firewall and associated network protections to function. An error is logged: An error occurred during installation of the epfwlwf driver. I've tried (twice) removing EIS in safe mode using the ESET uninstaller and installing from scratch, but still the error remains. Any feedback to troubleshoot the problem would be appreciated. I enabled advanced logging, rebooted, disabled logging and ran ESET Log Collector. Logs attached. eis_logs.zip
  5. I've noticed the same issue, I just haven't got around to investigating it. BTW, hourly update also wakes my additional HDD. To run WPR you need to install the WPT (Windows Performance Toolkit) by downloading ADK from hxxp://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=39982 Edit: attached trace trace.zip
  6. In windows 7, any attempt to terminate an ESET process from task manager fails and displays the following message box
  7. If you have a master password set for firefox logins and passwords, then this is what worked for me. Disable SSL scanning in Eset, then temporarily disable the master password in firefox. Enable SSL scanning and check whether you still get the error notification. Hopefully it is now fixed. Finally, set your firefox master password.
  8. It's a bug. Refer to https://forum.eset.com/topic/18864-email-client-integration-bug/
  9. Win 7x64 EIS 12.1.31.0 Windows Live Mail with ESET Email Client Integration. When right clicking an email(s) and selecting an action (blacklist, whitelist, mark as spam/not spam), egui.exe is launched.
  10. Here's the fixed link to the tool. ftp://ftp.nod.sk/samples/svchecker/ESETSysVulnCheck.exe
  11. Logfile1 clearly shows ESET's service, ekrn.exe, creating the shellex keys and setting their default values. I've attached a jpeg image of the process monitor output for clarification.
  12. @Marcos, I think you'll find the last log - Logfile1.7z - to be the log of interest.
  13. You should be able to download the installer for 12.0.31.0 at hxxp://download.eset.com.cn/download/detail/?product=EIS12
  14. The only way I can get this to work is by forcing Firefox to use HTTP/1.1
  15. Yes, as long as you have a genuine licence.
  16. If you really need redirection to work for Firefox 63, you could go into about:config and toggle the preference network.http.spdy.enabled.http2 to false. I'd only recommend this as a last resort.
  17. www.lloydsbank.com should work fine as it doesn't support HTTP/2.0 Which browser are you using?
  18. I just tested https://ibanking.banksa.com.au/ibank/loginPage.action and can confirm that it doesn't work with Firefox but does work with IE 11 (Internet Explorer 11) BTW. Bank SA seems to be using the same software as St George
  19. Any chance that your bank is either St George or Westpac? I know that BPP doesn't currently work with either of them and Firefox, though it should work with IE11.
  20. It's already detected as Win32/GenKryptik.CPVT. In future, submit samples via email to samples@eset.com
  21. The OP is referring to saving the Citibank address ( citiretailservices.citibankonline.com/RSnextgen/svc/launch/index.action?siteId=PLCN_LLBEAN#signon) in Advanced setup -> Banking & Payment protection -> Protected websites
  22. You could go into advanced settings and change the threatsense parameters for a context menu scan.
