  1. I see the same values in both task manager and process hacker current values are 99.6 MB private bytes 104.92 MB working set and that is after nearly 2 days uptime following using the advanced logging to reset it
  2. I HAD already tried that in safe mode as directed 100% fail however uk support did this in normal mode and proceeded to manually search and remove ,clean up reg entries the uninstal tool should have cleaned but failed to remove
  3. They May not But win 10 is the same underneath the hood so to speak just as is 8.1 I may try a re instal from offline installer if they didn't foobar that option again like the last time i had to get uk tech to remotely uninstall and remove reg entries that prevented a clean installation (due to in place upgrades) 🙄 Life is about LEARNING from mistakes and AVOIDING repetition, now if that worked in practice the word would be a much better place, humans most intelligent species? Which pseudo scientists claimed that then? the past 3 yrs has been far too obvious to suggest they were very wrong
  4. Yes and it is currently using 74.46 MB working set of RAM This increases regardless of if the main GUI is opened or not, IMO this always running memory hog isn't needed the GUI opened fast enough prior to this version
  5. As above, the egui proxy process is not closing or releasing memory resources enabling advanced logging and then disabling it works as a workaround, but this also restarts the main ESET process too, if i kill and restart the offending process i need to log off and on again to fix strange issue of non responding desktop icons and menus, I did not suffer this issue on the previous working version of EIS Is this a corruption due to the in place upgrade feature ? yes i'm still running WIN7 without issues apart from this
  6. @Marcos I have 1 licence for 2 devices, one in the uk and the other in USA, My question is this in the event of change of device or clean installation of o/s of the USA based device how would i need to proceed to re-activate the licence on that device? Assuming it would be different to if the same was required with the device in the uk? The licence was purchased from eset uk
  7. Anyone else had this notification ? I currently have EIS , installed , this message appeared whilst i was in a game, so much for gaming mode suppressing notifications so i had to alt tab out of the game to close the notification as i didn't want to deal with it at that time, It so fare has not re-appeared is this normal?
  8. Glad i upgraded to OFFICE 2010 PLUS, over 12mths ago cheap enough
  9. FOI MARCOS , TRANSLATION SAYS Good day. How can I uninstall active free antivirus programs not used? Maybe they wanted to uninstall other vendors software and not , eset because the installer couldn't complete the installation because of other running AV products ? Though the title of the thread is somewhat ambiguous, uninstalling ( trial version (trial version of what?)
  10. All i have had is a MODULE update in the past 24hrs no virus sig updates
  11. Which O/S are you using ? Plus what installed software if any do you suspect may be a underlying cause of this , assuming it isn't a misconfig issue from a dodgy /upgrade installation of ESET, have you tried a complete clean install of ESET using the ESET uninstall tool?
  12. You may need to download & run the ESET uninstaller tool in SAFE mode, to clean the previous installation of ESET 1st, if you haven't already done this https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool
  13. Re your announcement , is this not cutting your nose off to spite your face so to speak , and also discrimination? And Who in the end pays for this loss of business, the rest of us no doubt ? https://www.eset.com/int/ua-crisis/
  14. Too late, I have installed the driver with ESET hips disabled, It was more of a heads-up to others who will likely at some point be updating their video drivers (Nvidia)
  15. I used a 3rd party tool from here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/techpowerup-nvcleanstall/ In order to cut the bloat i don't need or want that normally ships with the driver package, and some of which is still installed regardless of de selecting it when prompted by the Nvidia installer, With eset hips enabled the driver got part way through the installation and then failed, the result after a restart was GPU no longer detected, and nvidia driver package still partly registered in windows, So i disabled Hips within ESET GUI before i I ran DDU utility that removes Nvidia drivers properly, (IN SAFE MODE) Following the restart into windows normal mode ( HIPS still disabled ) i ran the NVclean install tool again downloading the driver again and selecting the same options, Result driver installed successfully, Never had this issue with prior versions of ESET, Also could ESET cause an issue with a DLL file suddenly not being found by a game? Which was the motive behind updating the video drivers the /dll is related to direct x
  16. The Pre release module that will be passed to the regular update channel does fix the video playback issue, although the scanning of the cert or app will prevent steam client opening /updating you have to select ignore for it to work , But it's an improvement , I reverted to the regular update channel and excluded Firefox from scanning ssl
  17. yes, followed the kb , and it would not start even if i clicked on the ESET bpp shortcut from desktop, it worked up until recently,i had been using the pre-release for a while without issues, as a workaround to the module that causes video playback issues on some websites due to the scanning of certs or apps
  18. I tried the steps as in the KB article below , but it made no difference ,so i reverted back to the regular modules and it works again https://support.eset.com/en/kb6408-banking-and-payment-protection-browser-not-working
  19. Whilst that fixes the issues of alternative video platform playbacks, i'm seeing many blocked attacks? the like of this Time;Event;Action;Source;Target;Protocol;Rule/worm name;Application;Hash;User 24/12/2021 17:38:33;Security vulnerability exploitation attempt;Blocked;192.241.213.155:57120;192.168.1.4:6379;TCP;EsetIpBlacklist;;0000000000000000000000000000000000000000; SO ESET WHAT is GOING ON HERE WHICH APP PROCESS IS COMPROMISED?????
