  1. As per title, I got the ESET upgrade E-mail offer for the discounted offer to upgrade my current Internet security to Ultimate. But on finding out more it's only a discounted price for 1 year and the min number of Seats is 5 i only need 1 or 2. So if this doesn't change, i won't be buying this product
  2. I Assume ESET is aware of this assumed threat,? And probably will protect the end user against it ? Just seeking confirmation https://www.pcworld.com/article/2068973/serious-vulnerability-found-time-to-update-browser.html
  3. It's back working for me after a brief period of it not working could have been a module update
  4. i use Internet security which has a software firewall as well as AV and the firewall is better than Windows O/S even 11 i would bet I also use common sense , not had any problem thus far I would have still been running XP had the pc it was installed on not died
  5. They have only dropped win 7 and 8 from the latest GPU series, Mine is a 980ti and still supported, Not that i have any new games installed So there is little if anything to be gained from the latest and greatest drivers
  6. Using FF latest version, Whilst i was testing the only brower that it worked with was IE7, lol, Anyhow a short time later i got a bug check, blue screen, nvidia driver and win 7 system drivers But the banking protection and secured browser opening again in FF ? Very strange
  7. Banking protection has stopped opening the secured browser on every site i had set it to open it on, automatically , I have to manually open the secured browser via the desktop shortcut and navigate to the selected sites ?
  8. Thanks, Peter It has already resolved i just checked it before i checked here
  9. Why no WIN (64-bit) download? Who still uses 32-bit? or is it a typo error? https://www.eset.com/uk/home/internet-security/download/#download-manually
  10. Manual download on website only lists WIN10 (32 bit) And no win 8,,8.1, or 7
  11. Since around the time i upgraded to the latest version of EIS and even after a fresh instal of it i seem to have this issue, which never existed until now, The symptoms are machine becomes unresponsive and only a restart of explorer/exe will restore to normal function, there are no error logs generated in windows So is there any method that could pinpoint if this a eset related issue or not ?
  12. DNS over HTTPS is disabled here too, and i'm not seeing the cpu spiking to 99% or any issues loading the site or posting things on there as i have until i removed firefox from the protocol checking
  13. Today,Gettr .comwas not loading fully and has been slowly loading using lots of CPU 99% to fully load in all the 3rd party data when Firefox was protected by HTTPS scanning for months , i had it down as being a non eset issue For testing purposes it remains that way ,
  14. As above, No idea why, but it will not re-enable after a RESTART until it updated ?????????
  15. I rebooted the machine, due to another programme that had several days ago caused a problem with windows, becoming un responsive and explorer crashing , and it scanned as intended , so must have been down to that maybe ending some other windows process
  16. When i try running a scan it stops scanning the elapsed time also stops counting upwards when it tries scanning WMI database files Stops on this file WMI:ROOT\CIMV2:__Win32Provider.Name="Win32ClockProvider" Name - is OK
  17. Further, update EGUI proxy now only 5mb maybe due to some strange memory offloading to page file following 3rd party download extension on Firefox because on completion of a 10gb test file it appears to cause this offload of memory whilst it writes to disk the downloaded file, never experienced this behaviour before i used this multi thread download manager extension Multithreaded Download Manager, after a total of 9 days of uptime Field Value Physical Memory Total 16304 MB Used 7516 MB Free 8788 MB Utilization 46 % Virtual Memory Total 32607 MB Used 9542 MB Free 23065 MB Utilization 29 % Paging File Paging File C:\pagefile.sys Current Size 16304 MB Current / Peak Usage 1129 MB / 2045 MB Utilization 7 % Physical Address Extension (PAE) Supported by Operating System Yes Supported by CPU Yes Active Yes
  18. Well 2 days uptime (Yes i run my pc 24.7 ) the EGUI proxy process is at 14.88 MB working set 11.25mb private bytes Main ESET process is 297mb working set 149.17 mb private bytes , So maybe due to an inherited issue from multiple in place upgrades
  19. I decided to Re install EIS on my PC , did a clean offline install as another issue developed where my desktop background would turn black and icons disappeared , and had to use task manager to log off or restart this never occurred prior t o this version of EIS, ( upgraded by application ) But so far the ESET GUI PROXY Process is remaining at around 14mb though the main ESET process is now using a little more than it did previously , the only issues i have encountered so far is a slower loading on desktop icons during boot time , and explorer process terminating when accessing some control panel menus such as security and firewall
  20. Yup on Win 7 the Main set GUI .exe process stops running within 10 secs of closing the GUI as intended but this EGUI proxy process runs continually and accumulates (hogs) memory even without any opening of the eset gui IMO it's an UN needed memory hog, it doesn't improve anything
