  1. It is currently possible only to export the whole policy / configuration.
  2. Errors like "file is corrupted", "invalid signature", "connection interrupted", etc. are typically caused by proxy servers on the way. In such case, follow my instructions posted above. The best course of action would be contacting your local customer care to ensure that the case is tracked properly.
  3. As for the tag message in emails, it's added only to infected emails by default. It is not good to rely on the information in the message since authenticity cannot be ensured and malware could add a message that the malicious attachment is clean even though it isn't.
  4. One more thing, use the built-in form to contact customer care so that logs from the phone are provided to customer care as well.
  5. Please continue as follows: - enable advanced network protection logging in the adv. setup -> tools -> diagnostics - click Scan your network - after the scan has completed, disable logging - gather logs with ELC and provide the generated archive.
  6. If you are able to reproduce the issue in the future, we'll need you to enable: - advanced update engine logging - advanced network protection logging in the advanced setup -> Tools -> Diagnostics and run update. Next disable logging and gather logs with ELC.
  7. No, the same level of protection cannot be achieved with an extension. Injection into a browser is a must to keep the current level of protection. To my best knowledge ESET doesn't inject into Edge because it runs sandboxed.
  8. So far it was not confirmed to be a bug but rather an annoyance causes by early access to the webcam before Device control is fully initialized. It is still being investigated as we understand it's annoying for users. As for v12, it should be available later this year.
  9. Not everything is feasible since we are limited by how the operating system works and what it enables installed applications to do. If it is that the web camera is accessed prior to device control gets fully initialized, there's probably hardly anything we could do.
  10. Since the discussion has already turned into ranting and even personal offenses, we'll draw it to a close.
  11. I would suggest contacting customer care and providing also information about the brand and model of the mobile phone. Some are known to use aggressive battery savers or power saving modes which can kill even security applications.
  12. I have no problems opening the Parental Control website in Opera. Logging through a browser is just an alternate way of how a parent can control a child. You can install Parental Control in parent mode on your phone and use it to control Parental Control on your child's device.
  13. Please read https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-cobalten-com/ for instance.
  14. Try creating an Ubuntu boot USB and see if it can boot alright.
  15. Try running a scan without scanning archives. When scanning archives, they are unpacked to the temporary folder and then scanned. After a file has been scanned, it's deleted from the temp folder.
  16. A Procmon log is not useful in this case. You didn't mention if there are some other programs running and what CPU is used. On one-core systems the CPU may reach 100% utilization during a scan. If the system is not under a heavy load, you should not experience 100% cpu utilization during a scan. Also try running a smart scan (ie. without scanning archives) if it makes a difference.
  17. Please create a support ticket so that the case is properly tracked and investigated by engineers. Thank you.
  18. This was already discussed here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/16852-smart-security-premium-webcam-access-notifications/ To prevent duplicate topics on a subject, we'll draw this one to a close.
  19. Is the setting unmarked in the policy editor so that it can be adjustable on clients?
  20. It can happen that users who practice safe computing, keep the OS and apps up to date and are behind a router with regularly updated firmware will never get infected. However, antivirus programs are mainly intended for the others. Although I practice safe driving, I have a car insurance, just in case because one never knows...
  21. I can't resist asking novice again: Why are you disappointed? Has ESET ever failed to protect you? There's nothing like 100% malware protection in real world.
  22. Please read https://forum.eset.com/topic/16949-error-message-this-feature-is-not-monitored-by-windows-security-center/. To prevent duplicate topics on a subject, we'll draw this one to a close.
  23. Currently it is not possible to block USB network adapters via Device Control. In case a network adapter was connected through an internal USB port, it would block Internet connection. If internal USB ports can be distinguished from external ports in the future, it could be possible.
