Once the macOS devices are re-imaged, the agent is installed. Once the agent is installed the AV gets deployed with the regular software install task from the EP Console. So we're using ESET installation tasks/processes. Any version upgrades are performed using ESET EP console tasks, as well. You think a 84 MB installer has the whole AV? Not really. Avast's offline installer is close to 800 MB in size. Anyway, enough said. So it's not possible to get a fully up-to-date exe. I said that the ESET offline installer is not a proper offline installer because it still has to download close to 280 MB update after installing it. The critical alert recurs a few days after a reboot and even with an uninstall/reinstall of AV. Support has determined that the required SSL certificate for the web control functionality is missing. Still trying to determine how/why as this is a fairly recent development. And I'm puzzled why it takes several days for the critical error to appear after a reboot. ESET'S online installer basically downloads the offline installer file and installs ESET.
